During a live directed Zoom session, a voice director, the owner of the production company and I decided on a warm and engaged narration style, using the lower ends of my voice.
This ‘branding movie’ or corporate video tells the story of a housing company that uses the ‘uptopping’ technique: building a new layer of apartments on top of an old three story high apartment building, then using part of the profit to make the old apartments more sustainable. I loved this idea, since I grew up between this kind of houses in suburban Amsterdam.
This video is targeted on the owners of the old apartments, to give them a sense of the possibilities. The analogy of the child turning her old bed into a fun place to sleep and play, really spoke to me. That extra layer of creativity made voicing this video even more exciting. Up top!
